The 2010 Underground Showdown Awards were originally scheduled to be held at 9:00 PM in Argyros Forum 208. Due to technical difficulties, the show was delayed until 10:00 PM and eventually premiered in the Sandhu Film & Media Arts lounge. The nominees were selected by popular vote of the UGSD club members. The top films were then handed over to professors in Dodge College of Film & Media Arts who selected one winner for each category.
I loved the raptors during the end credits, especially cut together with Ben Hain’s refusal to imitate a raptor.

I wanted to share a story from after the Award Show; someone came up to me who had never been to any of our film festivals before and said that, from what they had seen at the Award Show, they felt that the sense of community demonstrated by our club members was one of the strongest that they had seen from any club at Chapman. Be proud and keep up the enthusiasm next year.
